How do I operate the fortress controls?
1 of 8: There's a simulator in one of the brother's rooms. It's best to use that until you know what you're doing.
2 of 8: Play around with it for a bit and see if you can figure out how everything works first. There's no way to give subtle hints here, so the next clues will describe the controls.
3 of 8: The left lever lets you determine the speed of rotation. It will stay in place when you move it.
4 of 8: The right lever should be pulled up to rotate the tower. Note that if the left lever is all the way down, the tower won't rotate (speed is at zero).
5 of 8: If you've pulled the left lever all the way down, the tower will then eventually settle on one of the four cardinal directions that it's closest to. You'll hear a distinctive sound when the tower has locked into position.
6 of 8: Note that if the left lever isn't down, the tower may not lock into one of those directions.
7 of 8: I found it easiest to set the speed to the slowest position (just move the left lever up as little as you can). From there, I pulled the right lever up all the way until the tower reached the next position. This method isn't the quickest way, but it's the easiest to repeat.
8 of 8: For me, it took 20 seconds approximately for the tower to reach the next position. Your timing might vary with system configuration.
