Myst Hints
What should I do at the giant tower?
of 13: Look at the buttons on the panel.
of 13: Do the icons there look at all familiar?
of 13: You should have seen the same icons scattered around the island.
of 13: The tower you're at will collect sounds from the dishes all over the island.
of 13: Of course, you need to turn on each of the transmitters.
of 13: Press the red button underneath each of the icons. The symbols will glow once you've turned the transmitters on.
of 13: Each of the five buttons on the control panel corresponds to the same symbol elsewhere. You need to rotate the receiving dish so it's turned to pick up the sounds from the transmitters.
of 13: It helps to remember what the area surrounding each of the sounds looks like. If you don't know, look around a bit more to find out what you're aiming for.
of 13: To aim the receiver, select the symbol corresponding to the transmitter that you're trying to aim at, and use the arrows to rotate it. Once you're within a few degrees of the transmitter, you'll hear a faint version of the sound associated with the transmitter.
of 13: I don't think it's entirely necessary, but you might as well try to lock on to the transmitter to the nearest tenth of a degree. When you're close, the arrows will flash to tell you in which direction to rotate the dish.
of 13: The positions you need (in degrees) are 153.4, 130.3, 55.6, 15.0, and 212.2.
of 13: Once you have all five sounds, you're ready to see what they add up to.
of 13: Press the button with the Greek letter sigma on it, and you'll hear the five sounds, just in a different order. Remember these.
