How do I correctly set the wave forms?
1 of 11: To solve this puzzle, the blue wave showing (on the right) must be adjusted to match the yellow wave (also on the right).
2 of 11: In order to change the blue wave on the right, you'll need to adjust the red and green waves on the left.
3 of 11: The signal from each of the two waves on the left is added together to form the blue signal on the right.
4 of 11: The three knobs underneath adjust different aspects of the signals on the left. But the knobs can only control one wave at a time (red or green).
5 of 11: Switch between the two signals on the left by using the slider switch.
6 of 11: Use the knob on the left to adjust the amplitude; the center knob to adjust the frequency, and the knob on the right to adjust the phase.
7 of 11: Atrus gives a lot of instructions. At first, his instructions are very helpful, but as time goes on, it seems to be less and less helpful.
8 of 11: Even though the instructions don't seem very helpful, it is very strongly recommended that you still follow along with what he suggests.
9 of 11: Each dial can be turned in small increments to the left or right. After a small amount of movement, there will be an audible click, although the waves may be adjusted a small amount without ever hearing a click. Each time Atrus asks you to move a dial, start by turning it slowly to the right, approximately one click at a time (waiting for his response at each click), until he tells you that the dial is correctly (or close to being) set.
10 of 11: Don't get frustrated if he tells you a dial is correctly set, but later asks you to adjust it again. Just continue with each step of his instructions and you'll make it through.
11 of 11: There is no way to reset this puzzle, once it has started. If you are having trouble, and wish to try follow along with the solutions here, you will either need to restore from a saved game (or restart the game), or work through the puzzle on your own by following Atrus' instructions. Atrus will get you through the puzzle. Just make slow movements on the dials, then stop to wait for him to tell you whether you are going in the right direction, and whether or not you need to make additional adjustments.
