Myst IV: Revelation Hints
Using the Camera
While playing "Myst IV", you will not have an inventory. But there will be many things -- letters, diagrams, pictures -- that you will want to have for later referral. You can do that by using your camera. The camera is in the lower left-hand corner of your screen, and is accessed by right-clicking the mouse (to allow the mouse to move freely to the bottom of the screen), and then clicking on the camera with the left mouse button.
A camera viewfinder will be placed over the current scene, and you can "take a picture" by clicking the left mouse button. The camera holds 999 pictures (you will need FAR less than that during any game), and pictures already taken can be viewed using the Journal. Annotations can also be made for any picture from within the Journal.
