Myst IV: Revelation Hints
Help! The chair won't work!
1 of 8: You have to be serious about using the telescope or the chair won't work!
2 of 8: You won't be able to use the telescope, if you have no way to see the stars outside.
3 of 8: Look for a way to open the panel over the roof window.
4 of 8: The panel can be opened by using a lever in this room.
5 of 8: Go down to the large window (across from the elevator). Turn so that your back is to the window.
6 of 8: Go back up the stairs to the right, looking to the left of the stairway as you go. The room is rather dark, so it's hard to see. But from this angle, looking up the stairs, you should be able to make out a lever to the side of the stairs.
7 of 8: You'll have to be just at the top of the stairs to work the lever (just go up the first set of stairs -- stop before you climb all the way to the chair). Once the roof window is uncovered, try the chair again.
8 of 8: The button on the right armrest of the chair should now be flashing. Press the button to be lifted up.
