Myst V: End of Ages Hints
What is the purpose of the books on pedestals that I see around this age?
1 of 6: They may look familiar to you if you've played any of the previous Myst games.
2 of 6: These are called linking books. Step up close to them and see what you can do with them.
3 of 6: While you can't flip the pages, and there doesn't seem to be any way to pick up the books and take them with you, there is that nice animated picture on the right-hand side of each of the books.
4 of 6: Click on it, and you'll be transported to another age.
5 of 6: That age is Direbo, as you'll soon learn when Esher appears to you there.
6 of 6: Direbo will help you get to the age that you're really supposed to visit, if you use the pedestals.
