How do I cross the bridges here?
1 of 6: You should notice gates on both sides of every bridge.
2 of 6: There's also a switch on the left-hand side of each gate, which opens that gate.
3 of 6: You can only access the switch when you're standing on the soap-bubble side of it -- i.e., you can't reach over to the switch while you're standing on a bridge, trying to cross.
4 of 6: That means you'll need to find another way into the section on the other side, and then open that second gate there.
5 of 6: You can get to the other side the same way you got to the area where you are now -- with another linking book from the Great Shaft.
6 of 6: So basically, the bridges are just shortcuts between places that you've already been. If you're moving back and forth between ages, this may help you a bit, since you can save a return trip to the Great Shaft and just walk through gates that you've already opened. But if you just do one age and solve it completely before moving on, these shortcuts won't help you a whole lot.
