Myst V: End of Ages Hints
I'm trapped in a cave at the start of the age. How do I get out?
of 13: You can't climb out the opening you see at one end of the cave -- it appears to be too steep to climb.
of 13: But Esher gave you a pretty big hint as to how else you can get out.
of 13: He first told you to pick up the slate.
of 13: He also said you carried a heavy burden. And that you should be thankful.
of 13: He meant that literally -- the burden for is your slate.
of 13: Pick up the slate from the pedestal if you don't have it already, and then find some place you might be able to use it.
of 13: Look on the floor.
of 13: As you walk from the pedestal toward the opening, you should see the shape of a slate on the ground here.
of 13: Maybe you should drop your slate on that shape.
of 13: Do that and step away, and the Bahro will come to take the slate from you. When it does, the ice will also start to crack a bit.
of 13: That's probably your way out.
of 13: You just need to take advantage of that crack with enough weight.
of 13: Get your slate again -- it will appear shortly on the pedestal -- and stand on the crack one more time. The ground should open up, and you should fall below, outside the cave.
