Myst V: End of Ages Hints
How do I turn on the devices in the red room near the start of this age?
1 of 8: You may need to explore this room a little more thoroughly.
2 of 8: The four control panels up the stairs in the center of the room are the most visible things here.
3 of 8: But not the only things.
4 of 8: Walk *around* that platform, along the edge of the room.
5 of 8: You'll see another control panel here with two levers -- below the central platform, on the opposite side of the room from the door you entered through. One lever (on the left) moves vertically, and one lever (on the right) moves horizontally.
6 of 8: Notice that the screen in the center gets brighter or darker as you move the levers.
7 of 8: Experiment with the levers to get the screen as bright as you can.
8 of 8: Put the left lever in the middle and the right lever about 3/4 of the way to the right. You should then hear the machinery start to turn on and see the lights come on.
