Myst V: End of Ages Hints
Where is that canal?
1 of 5: From the place where you first arrive in this age, start by walking along the shoreline to the right.
2 of 5: As the beach narrows to just a tiny bit of sand and rocks, you may see a gap in the rocks on your right. Go through that gap.
3 of 5: If you've missed the gap, it can be hard to see. Just walk slowly and keep looking to your right, especially as you've passed the wooden fence and are getting to the narrowest part of the beach. The gap comes slightly before the beach is at its narrowest.
4 of 5: Once you exit the sandy area on the other side, you'll reach a U-shaped channel. The canal is on the left side of the "U" as you're facing it.
5 of 5: If you're in the "advanced" (free-move) mode, it should also be possible to walk around the gap entirely by stepping out into the water where the beach seems to dead-end. But you'll need to get into the sandy area itself later, so best to find it now.
