Saving Games
You can die in "The Mystery of the Mummy" -- in many places, in many ways! And unlike some other games, there is no automatic replay that allows you to avoid the last step that killed you, or to back up just prior to the action that resulted in your death.
As a result, you should save games whenever you are about to enter a new area or try something that could be either dangerous or have unknown results. There is a limit of six saved games at any one time. Make sure to save in different slots, in case you need to take a step back at any point.
The Save/Load/Quit menu can be accessed by clicking on the book in the bottom left corner of the gameplay screen.
