First of all, the puzzle will not be there until you have solved the puzzle of the four columns first.

4 of 12: Perhaps they represent four things that have been referenced elsewhere.

Read the article on the caste system in India.
- Where do I find this article?
6 of 12: Note the reference to the four castes.
7 of 12: The riddle on the puzzle says that "the last will be the first".
8 of 12: The caste system, in descending order of importance, is Brahman, Ksatriya, Vaisya, and Sudra.
9 of 12: Reversing that ("the last will be the first") produces "S"(udra), "V"(aisya), "K"(satriya), and "B"(rahman).
10 of 12:
Select the letters and place them on the empty circles, in that order.
