How did Jake make those tapes?
That's a good question. The first tape, the one you find in the maintenance room after you escape the furnace trap, seems to have been made by putting cameras of some kind into other students' lockers, and the footage of Hal seems to come from a camera in the ceiling. So did he have the whole school wired and we're just seeing the tapes he kept, or did he just wire those spots because he knew those guys had something to hide? Highly suspicious, and definitely illegal. And where did he get the money for all that surveillance in the first place?
Good ol' Jake would have had a LOT of questions to answer if he hadn't fallen down those stairs, no question.
