Nancy Drew 17: Legend of the Crystal Skull Hints
How do I set the pictures on this model?
of 10: If you click on the little triangles, the pictures change. Aha, a combination lock! Now if you only knew how to set the pictures ... (Read to the end of this hint for a detailed answer.)
of 10: All of the crypts in this model are miniatures of real crypts in the actual cemetery. I wonder what this one looks like in real life? (So to speak.)
of 10: Only one way to find out: go into the cemetery and look at it.
of 10: You don't see any pictures on the outside of the crypt, but there are four panels with rough stone inside. Did you try looking at one of them?
of 10: When you click on one of them, Nancy makes a comment about how to find out what the pictures are.
of 10: She says you need to get some paper and do a rubbing. You can find a piece of charcoal in the fireplace in the great room, and if you ask Renee for paper she'll tell you where to find some. (But not until you've been to the crypt and clicked on it so Nancy realizes she needs paper. She's not clairvoyant.)
of 10: Go back to the crypt and use the paper on all four panels to get a rubbing of each. Now all you have to do is go back to the model in the great room and figure out which picture goes where.
of 10: Did you notice that the frames around the pictures are different? That means you need to match the frame of each rubbing with the frames on the model to tell which picture goes where.
of 10: Notice, however, that this won't work until you actually go to the cemetery, do the rubbings, and all the rest. If you have done all of that, you should get a key as your reward.
