Nancy Drew 17: Legend of the Crystal Skull Hints
What do I do with the paper from inside the dummy?
of 17: Look for the answers among the dead. (OOOoooOOOooo...)
of 17: The paper talks about "the last denizen buried on my guard." A denizen is a resident, so it's referring to the last person buried by Bruno. You can find out who that is by going to the large book in the great room and turning to the last page.
of 17: The name you're looking for is Tammy Tassleman, who's buried in Terra Siesta. Pull up the paper from the dummy (it has a skull on it) and type in Tammy's name on the line.
of 17: Now you need to go to Tammy's tomb and see what's written on her headstone. Take a quick look at the model cemetery to find the way, and off you go.
of 17: When you get there, click on any of the tombs to get a close-up view of Tammy's headstone. It has an odd little poem that doesn't seem to have anything to do with Tammy -- or does it?
of 17: No, it doesn't. It's really a riddle to lead you to another name in the cemetery, and this time it's going to be a silly pun. Go back to the book in the great room and flip through alllllll the names until you find one that fits the riddle. If you forget the riddle, look at the dummy paper to find it written down there.
of 17: The riddle talks about someone who "couldn't sleep without a peep." That sounds like someone who makes noise all night long -- kind of like snoring, huh?
of 17: You'll find the name you need on page 79 of the book --
of 17: -- it's Constance Norring, which if you say it out loud sounds like "constant snoring," and she's in Crowing Crypts.
of 17: Do you see the gimmick now? Type Constance Norring's name on the paper, then go out to Crowing Crypts and see what the next riddle is.
of 17: Here are the answers to all the riddles. You don't have to look them all up in the book, but you do have to traipse around to all the tombs to get the riddles to show up so you can type in the names.
of 17: Now you know that you're looking for someone named Grant. Go back to the book and look for someone whose last name is Grant. You'll find him on --
of 17: -- page 82.
of 17: Derek Grant is in Writhing Roots, so go there to find (surprise!) --
of 17: -- another glass eye, and a tiny little pirate hat. Hmm ...
of 17: Did you notice that the tiny little costume cabinet in the secret room is missing a pirate hat?
