Am I supposed to do something with these plants?
There are a couple of beds of plants you can look closely at around the garden, but as far as I can tell they're just for decoration (if you consider waterlogged dandelions decorative, that is). You don't need to do anything with them, and indeed you can't, so don't worry about them.
