Nancy Drew 18: The Phantom of Venice Hints
I keep getting caught! What's the best way to do this?
of 8: Read to the end of this hint for step-by-step directions (with pictures) to get the gem and get out again. In general, here's the best route to take, using this map:
of 8: You start in room B. Work your way over to A, the maze at the left, and turn off the switch.
of 8: Go from A to B to C and turn off the switch.
of 8: Go from C to F to I and turn off the switch.
of 8: Go from I to H to G and turn off the switch. Now that all the switches are off, you can go to the middle (E) and get the sapphire.
of 8: Go from G to D to E, then dive into the center area and grab that gorgeous sapphire.
of 8: Once you have the gem, go from E to B and out. Phew!
of 8: Here are step-by-step directions on how to get through each area of the map. Be aware that this is just the way I did it; if you can get through it another way, that's great! Any route that gets you out of there with the sapphire in your pocket is the right way.
