How do I get out of the trap at the end?
1 of 16: This is the kind of puzzle Her Interactive loves and I hate. Read all the way to the end of this hint for step-by-step directions.
2 of 16: Turn left to see a bunch of wheels and a sign that (once translated) informs you that the door won't open until all the water levels are the same.
3 of 16: That means you need to turn the wheels to raise and lower the water levels in the different tubes till they're all the same. That sounds easy enough --
4 of 16: -- but of course it's not, because the tubes are connected, so that turning one wheel affects other wheels. And if any one tube gets all the way to the top or the bottom, you're dead; and if you take too long to figure it out, you're likewise dead. Feh! Save your game and read on.
5 of 16: Let's label the wheels A through E, left to right. A little experimentation will show you that turning A also affects C; turning B also affects A and C; turning C affects E; turning D only affects itself; and turning E affects D.
6 of 16: There are probably lots of ways to get out of here, and I bet there's a faster way, but here's how I did it:
