Nancy Drew: The Haunting of Castle Malloy Hints
How do I print the odd plates I keep finding?
of 11: There are four of these plates to find, and you can't really do anything with them till you have all four.
of 11: Have you deciphered the binary code at the top of each plate? Use the binary chart in the library to help you here.
of 11: The plate that was in the printer has a number that translates to C. Hmm.
of 11: The plate you got from the slider puzzle on the gate translates to M. Are you starting to see some pattern here?
of 11: The plate from the constellation stones translates to Y. Now I see!
of 11: The plate from the dollhouse translates to K. So there's one plate for each color of ink. Aha!
of 11: But none of the plates makes sense if you print it on its own. And when you go use the printer after you have the plates, all four of the plates are displayed at the top of the screen. What are you supposed to do here?
of 11: What you're doing is printing all four plates in their own colors, BUT you only use one piece of paper. Aha!
of 11: So put the C plate in the machine, cover it with cyan ink, put a piece of paper on it, and print.
of 11: Put that piece of paper on the dryer, then put the M plate in the machine and cover it with magenta ink. Pick up the paper from the dryer, put it on the plate, and print it.
of 11: Repeat until you've done all four colors, then blow dry the paper and look at it.
