How do I solve the otter puzzle?
1 of 5: What you're doing here is arranging the cards (moving and spinning them) so that all the otters have heads and bodies in the same color. Read to the end of this hint for a picture showing the final arrangement.
2 of 5: First, notice that the card in the middle can't be moved. That at least gives you a place to start. To move a card, left-click to pick it up and put it down somewhere else; to rotate it, right-click on it.
3 of 5: And that's about it for the easy part of this puzzle. I have a terrible time with puzzles like this because there are so very many possibilities. There are five different purple otter bodies, five green otter bodies, six brown otter heads, and three blue otter heads. How are you supposed to choose?
4 of 5: The only way I ever found to solve this puzzle was trial and error. Take one of the three blue otter heads, for example, and put it in place on the left so it completes the blue otter. Then pick up another piece that completes top or bottom and see if you can make it fit.
