How do I know which containers are what chemicals?
The letters on the containers are the standard abbreviations for the chemicals. Some of them are obvious -- H20 is water, H is hydrogen -- but some of them are a little odd -- K is potassium and Hg is mercury.
But that's what the huge table of the elements is for. Look on the wall above the list of incompatible chemicals to find a great big poster listing all the elements. When you come across an abbreviation you don't know, look for it on the table of the elements to find out what chemical is it, then find that element on the list below to decide what bin it goes into.
