Nancy Drew: The Haunting of Castle Malloy Hints

How do I get the sheep into the paddock?

  • 1 of 8: You can't do this until someone asks you to. You can, however, just chase the silly bleating things around, like a puppy chasing pigeons at the park, if it makes you laugh. Baaaaa!
  • 2 of 8: After Kit finally leaves the great hall and you can search the area behind his cot --
  • 3 of 8: -- talk to everyone about what you discovered. That is, talk to Kit and Kyler, then go down the road and talk to Donal.
  • 4 of 8: After the conversation, Donal will ask (or rather, demand) that you herd the sheep into the paddock using the whistle. Oh. Okay.
  • 5 of 8: This is simple enough on the face of it. Go through the wall and walk around till you get close to a sheep, then blow the whistle (using the icon on the upper left next to the purse). If you're close enough to the sheep when you blow the whistle, it goes "blaaaaat" and disappears, and the sheep counter (also in the upper left) changes to show one more sheep in the pen.
  • 6 of 8: The problem is that the stupid sheep keep getting back OUT of the pen after you put them in. Grrr! There's an easy way to stop this, however.
  • 7 of 8: Before you start gathering the sheep, or any time after you've started, walk up to the paddock and go all the way in so you're looking at the shearing equipment. Back out again, and this time Nancy will close the door. There! Now go about the field gathering sheep, and they'll stay put once they're inside.
  • 8 of 8: When all ten sheep are in the pen (that is, the sheep counter reads "10/10"), go back to the paddock and go all the way in. When you back out this time, Nancy will lock the door behind her.
