Nancy Drew: Ransom of the Seven Ships Hints
How do I translate the remaining words?
1 of 7: You won't be able to do this until you've found and opened the chest in the wreck of the Caridad, so don't worry about it till then.
2 of 7: In the chest you find two items: a rainbow-colored dial with a bee on it and a gold device called an astrolabe. Take a closer look at the astrolabe.
3 of 7: On the bottom of the astrolabe are the symbols found in the journal and some letters below each symbol. Now look back at the journal at the untranslated bits.
4 of 7: Click on one of the bits that's still in code, and you can now translate them! This is just like how you translated the journal before, except --
5 of 7: -- it's a lot more difficult because some symbols stand for two or more letters, instead of just one. That means a word with four symbols might be a word with nine letters, ouch!
6 of 7: For example, one cipher word is "_ _ h e _ t." The first blank is "hi," the second is "g" and the last is "s," making the word "highest." See?
