How do I navigate the passages here?
1 of 11: See all those strange symbols on the walls? After you've gotten into and out of the right cave at Bat Steep --
2 of 11: -- you'll have a plate that shows what each of them means. Ah, but that's not quite enough, is it?
3 of 11: For example, how do you choose between three passages whose symbols translate to Deep, Danger, and Strike? There must be some other meaning to the symbols than the obvious.
4 of 11: For that, look at El Toro's journal on page 6, the paragraph that starts, "Danger!" Do some of these words sound familiar?
5 of 11: A lot of the words are the same words translated by the symbols in the tunnels in Blue Hole.
6 of 11: If you pick out just those words, you get the following:
7 of 11: Danger - warning - death - enter - poisonous - guardians - deep - strike - warning. Try following those symbols.
8 of 11: That is, at the first intersection you hit, there are three passages. Take the one with the "Danger" symbol, the one on the bottom.
9 of 11: Go forward till you come to another intersection. At this one, take the one with the "Warning" symbol, the one on the bottom. And so on.
10 of 11: You'll reach the spot you're looking for after the "Poisonous" symbol. The rest of the symbols (Guardians, Deep, Strike, Warning) will get you back out again.
