How do I use the metal detector here?

  • 1 of 4: Once you get the metal detector --
  • 2 of 4: -- you can come back to the same part of Shark Cove where you were looking for the journal and use the metal detector.
  • 3 of 4: You may not know what you're looking for at first, but pretty soon you'll find things that are clearly not just trash.
  • 4 of 4: The most important one is a large flower-shaped object with six sort of paddles sticking out from the center. That's what you're looking for, and solving it will give you one of the rainbow-colored dials. It's in a random location every time, so you'll have to just cover the whole place looking for it till you find it.
