What do I do with these odd bricks?
1 of 10: The key to these bricks is the star-shaped holes in them. Keep your eyes open for four things that will fit in these holes.
4 of 10: Now we need to figure out how the animal tokens and the list of stories go together, so look at them both and see what connections there are between them. (Doesn't matter if you don't know the stories; the names will tell you what you need to know.)
5 of 10: The four tokens represent four of the stories. "The Black Cat" is the cat token and "The Raven" is the raven, obviously; the beetle thing is "The Gold Bug." The only difficult one is the orangutan, and there's a drawing beside the story that it goes with: "The Murders in the Rue Morgue."
6 of 10: There's another connection -- there are 17 stories and 17 star-shaped holes in those bricks. Aha! But --
7 of 10: -- if you put the stars into the spots where they go in this list as it stands, nothing happens. You must need to put them in a different order.
8 of 10: The date next to each story is the date it was published. Try rearranging the list in chronological order and see what happens.
9 of 10: That puts the orangutan at #6, the bug at #13, the cat at #14, and the raven at #15. Count the stars from the left brick and put the counters in those spaces.
