Nancy Drew 21: Warnings at Waverly Academy Hints

How do I make snacks?

  • 1 of 7: This is pretty straightforward. First, pick up the clipboard to read the rules. You'll have this clipboard in your inventory from now on if you need to look at it again. (Don't worry about the rules too much. No one will ask for more than they're supposed to get, for example.)
  • 2 of 7: When you're ready to go, put the clipboard away to start getting orders. Look at the order on the right and put everything the person has asked for on a tray, then push the Pick Up button under that tray to send it on its way.
  • 3 of 7: If someone asks for a sandwich, every item will be spelled out: bread, meat, lettuce, bread, or whatever. Make sure you put them in exactly that order, even if they want three tomatoes and that's all. If they want the bread or bagel toasted, put it in the toaster at the right and push the handle down. Juice is the purple bottle in the fridge.
  • 4 of 7: If someone asks for a cookie, open the fridge and take out a little lump of dough from the top shelf. Put it in the oven under the fridge and close it, then wait for a little ding! that tells you it's done.
  • 5 of 7: Be aware that the list of open orders scrolls up and down. If part of an order scrolls up so you can't see it, just move the mouse up to the top of the list, and it'll scroll back down again.
  • 6 of 7: Occasionally you'll get an order from a teacher; they're extra long and complicated, and they push all the student orders out of the way. You have to fill them really fast, so get to cooking! You get one credit for doing it right and one demerit for taking too long, plus you'll be bounced out of the snack bar area and have to start the round over.
  • 7 of 7: A round of snack orders is usually five orders one after the other. If you do five rounds in a day, you'll get 2 credits, which seems like small pay for all that work, but it's good to have a way to pump up your credits if you need to.
