When and how should I change the time?
The time moves pretty slowly in this game, but it does move. Sunrise comes at 6 a.m. and sunset at 5 p.m., and Nancy has to be in bed by 11 p.m. or risk getting demerits if she's caught out of her room.
In general, change the time if you need to do something and can't yet because of the time. That is, if it's night and you want to talk to people, change the time to day. If it's daytime and you want to sneak around without getting caught, change it to night.
To change the time, pull up Nancy's phone, click on Clock, and set the alarm for the time you want it to be.
