How do I make a disaster kit?
1 of 9: Something you read gave you a complete list, though you might not have noticed.
2 of 9: Remember the question in the Tornado Quiz about disaster kits? If not, go back to the basement computer, click on the Twister Trivia icon, and select the question on Emergency Planning to see it again.
3 of 9: According to this, you'll need water, sugar, salt, granola bars, batteries, a flashlight, a can opener, toothpaste, duct tape, and bleach. You won't find any of this stuff around the house; go to Ma 'n Pa's General Store to buy it.
4 of 9: At Ma 'n Pa's, you'll find that the team has a line of credit, so you don't need to spend your Pa Pennies for this stuff. However, your funds are limited and the list is long, so you'll need to plan carefully in order to get them all without going into the red.
5 of 9: But it can be done, with judicious use of Pa's wonderful sales deals. Notice, for example, that if you buy one item with a blue tag, you can get another blue tag item for free.
6 of 9: Also, make sure you read the sales tags carefully when choosing between two items. Sometimes a flat amount off will be more than a percentage off, sometimes less.
7 of 9: When you think you have everything, go to Pa to check out. If you spent more than your budget, Pa won't let you buy the stuff. To return items to the shelf, go into your inventory and click on the red shopping basket, then click on the things you want to put back. You can now go around the shelves and pick up the items you want instead.
8 of 9: There are probably other ways to do this, but here are the items I bought, leaving me with $1.79 in credit:
9 of 9: Once you have everything, go back to the farmhouse and down into the basement, where the disaster kit is located on a shelf to the left of where Frosty sits. Click on the grocery sack in your inventory and place in the kit to unload it all. (If you bought candy as well, it'll be in a different bag, one with an eyeball on it. The disaster kit stuff is the other bag.)
