Nancy Drew 22: Trail of the Twister Hints
How do I fix Scott's phone jack?
1 of 6: Forget about the piece you saw flying into the living room. The thing you need to fix is in Scott's office. Go over to the far end of the room, wait for the flames to die down, and then look closely at the hole in the wall.
2 of 6: No instructions are given for this, but it's not too hard to figure out what's required with a little experimentation.
3 of 6: What you're trying to do is move the little red knob from one silver blob to the next until they've all been touched and all the paths are lit with a red light. Read to the end of this hint for one way to do this.
4 of 6: The catch is that you can't retrace your steps. That is, you can touch the silver blobs as many times as you want, but you can only go down each section of the path once.
5 of 6: If you get hopelessly stuck, hit the reset button to erase all the red paths and start over. This will put the red knob in a different starting place, but at least you're not stuck anymore.
6 of 6: There are hundreds of different ways to do this, but here's one that I know works. If you're starting in a different spot, this won't be as much use to you, but at least it will demonstrate the principle.
