Nancy Drew 23: Shadow at the Water's Edge Hints

How do I get past Suki, the robotic cat?

  • 1 of 10: Well, first off, you can't do anything while Miwako is there. Come back when she's not here, after 1 a.m.
  • 2 of 10: You now find that Suki is very protective of the stuff on the desk, and in fact if you keep trying, you'll be out of the game with cat scratch fever (or its robotic equivalent). How does Miwako control her?
  • 3 of 10: She makes Suki sit up and beg by saying "Suki, tate." She says there are more commands, but she doesn't know them.
  • 4 of 10: Rentaro, the mechanical whiz, says he doesn't know any more commands. Who else do you know who's good at mechanical things?
  • 5 of 10: Call George, who's here attending the Technology of Tomorrow expo, and tell her about the robotic cat (after you've tried to get past the cat at night). Give her a day to work on the problem, and she'll tell you --
  • 6 of 10: -- that she's found someone who will give her more commands as soon as she solves a giant sudoku puzzle. Feh!
  • 7 of 10: Once you've solved the puzzle, put it in an envelope (just as you did with the article you wanted Logan to translate) and leave it at the front desk.
  • 8 of 10: Give it a day, and then call George and ask her about commands for the cat. The important one is --
  • 9 of 10: -- "Suki, mate." If you say that to the cat every time you go to the desk, it will calm down and leave you alone.
  • 10 of 10: The rest of the commands are just for fun; experiment with them if you want to, but you don't have to.
