Who made the coded pages, and why?
The cipher pages are a real mystery. Based on the message of the last cipher, they must have been written by Anja -- but why? And why in English? And why scattered around the castle? And why were the Enigma dials also hidden around the place? And how did Renate get hold of one, and why did she hide it where she did? No idea.
Of course, the real reason they're there is to give us players interesting puzzles with clues we wouldn't otherwise have gotten. All the same, there should be some explanation for them that would make sense to Nancy.
