Nancy Drew 24: The Captive Curse Hints
So what is the captive curse?
It's never spelled out, but we can speculate. The Freiherr's daughter was certainly a captive, and her kidnapping did seem to lay a curse on the castle for the next several centuries because of the fear and superstition of the people who lived there. Or does the title refer to the way people have been held captive by their fear of a curse that only exists in their own minds? Poor Karl has certainly been held captive by his belief that he was cursed by a doppelganger, so maybe that's what we're talking about.
