1 of 3: If you can stand to talk to Renate long enough, she'll tell you a story about a little girl who was lost in the woods. She says the little girl had a red scarf from India with elephants on it.
2 of 3: At some point later in the game, when you go to the well maze, look at the pile of boards near the exit that leads to the dungeon, and you'll find that same scarf there.
