How do I get access to Renate's bag?
1 of 10: Talk to Renate for a bit and see if she gives you any hints.
2 of 10: She says she falls asleep when she eats sweet things. Actually, Lukas says the same -- that if you give Renate something sweet to eat, she'll fall asleep in seconds. What a very useful characteristic!
3 of 10: So all you need to do is find something sweet for her to eat. Where can you go to buy things in this castle?
4 of 10: The gift shop seems promising, and there's even a big box of Koko Kringles -- excuse me, Schoko-Krunches -- ready for you to buy. But these won't do; for whatever reason, the candy bars just go into the wardrobe in Nancy's room, and she won't ever give them to Renate.
5 of 10: There's actually another way to buy food items in the gift shop, though you might not notice it at first. Turn your back on Anja to see --
6 of 10: -- a strange little house just to the right of the postcard display; the sign over it says "Clever Cuckoo Pausensnacks." There's a dial at the center with pictures of food; zoom in on it and let's see what's doing here.
7 of 10: The way this works is that you turn the clock hand toward the food item you want to buy, then click on the coin slot at the far right. You'll then see all the little clockwork animals and people come to life to deliver your food. Cute!
8 of 10: You can get them all if you want (and if you have the money), but the one you want is the sweet one --
9 of 10: -- the Black Forest Cake (chocolate with cherries on top) at the upper right. Go talk to Renate again, and Nancy will ask her if she wants some food. This brings up a box full of any snacks Nancy has purchased; click on the cake, and it's off to beddy-bye.
10 of 10: Renate will stay asleep until you leave the room and come back, or until you wake her up while rifling through her bag. Which Is Bad.
