What should I do with Bess's interview tape?
1 of 6: When you first look at the sound board, click on the Play button to hear Bess's interview. Man, that Brenda is an expert at coming up with nasty unfair questions, isn't she? Bess didn't stand a chance.
2 of 6: When the interview is over, Nancy notices that the whole time, Deirdre was standing in the background talking on her cellphone and wonders if she can adjust the sound levels so she can hear what Deirdre said. And she can, so let's get started! Read to the end of this hint for the exact settings you'll need.
3 of 6: This puzzle is rather unfair, in my opinion. What you need to do is adjust the ten sliders on the sound board -- sound level and frequency for the five channels -- until you've completely blocked out Brenda and Bess and can hear Deirdre completely.
4 of 6: But the settings aren't particularly logical, there are no books to tell you what numbers to aim for, and you don't know if you've got the setting anywhere near right until you're exactly right. How are you supposed to figure it out, other than trial and error?
