Nancy Drew 25: Alibi in Ashes Hints
How did Nancy know to come here?
1 of 4: The note she found said, "Setting: Storage room. Action: Tom the Star in the Holdnot Wall," and Nancy says it means she should check out the thermostat in the Old Town Hall. Huh?
2 of 4: Well, Nancy did say it was an anagram puzzle. That means some of the words can be rearranged to form other words that make more sense.
3 of 4: So "Tom the Star" is an anagram of "thermostat," and "Holdnot Wall" is an anagram of "Old Town Hall." See?
4 of 4: Don't panic, though; you won't have to figure out any of these jobbies in this game. I would certainly never have figured it out on my own, but perhaps that's because I don't live in River Heights, where the Old Town Hall is (or was) a major landmark.
