Nancy Drew 25: Alibi in Ashes Hints
How do I get out of this holding cell?
of 10: When you first arrive, there's not a whole lot you can do. Your pockets are empty; your cell phone is gone. What was it Chief McGinnis said?
of 10: You have the right to make a phone call -- or in fact, as many phone calls as you want, since there's only you and the phone in here. (Thank goodness it's not Saturday night, or you might have to share the cell with a drunk or two.)
of 10: You only have one phone number at the start, so do the smart thing and call --
of 10: -- Nancy's dad. Me, I'd be screaming, "Help me, Daddy!!!" at the top of my desperate lungs, but Nancy is very calm.
of 10: After you leave him a message (as you'll discover later, he's on a business trip to Australia), Nancy remembers the phone numbers of her friends. Give one of them a call (it doesn't matter which one), and Nancy will ask him or her to --
of 10: -- go to the Old Town Hall and find the note she was following, and then bring it to the Police Station. When that's done, switch to that person to go do as you were told.
of 10: Once you're in the body of one of the Friends (shades of "Being John Malkovich" here!), back out of wherever you are and head for the street. Once you click on the open road, you'll switch to an overhead view of a map of River Heights.
of 10: Okay, you're at the Old Town Hall. Now you need to look for a small scrap of half-burnt paper in this scene of destruction and debris. Hey, no biggie, right?
of 10: Once you have it, give Nancy a call, and she'll ask you to bring it to her. The police station is in the middle left part of the map, just left of a park with X-shaped paths.
of 10: Once the note is in the drop box, call Nancy to switch back to her. As soon as you do, Chief McGinnis says you can have free run of the station and then unlocks the cell door. Phew!
