Nancy Drew 26: Tomb of the Lost Queen Hints
How can I light the burial chamber now?
of 9: Well, the flashlight is a washout. It's dead, and if you try to use the recharger in the antiquities tent, you'll find that it's dead too. We need another light source.
of 9: Go back to the burial chamber. See anything in here that might help you?
of 9: Take a step into the dark, then turn around and look at the right wall.
of 9: Aha, a lamp! That is, it's a shallow bowl with a wick, designed to hold a flammable liquid and burn a little at a time for light. So all you need now is some flammable liquid and either a lighter or some matches.
of 9: There's a lighter, a chrome Zippo number, in Jon's trunk; you may have picked it up when you were looking for his notes.
of 9: And if you go get a drink of water from the water truck, you'll now find a bottle of lamp oil on the right. Pour the oil into the lamp, then use the lighter on it. And like magic --
of 9: -- you have a little puzzle with mirrors to solve. What you're trying to do here is get the light from the left where the lamp is to the white lamp on the right. Read to the end of this hint for a picture showing one possible array.
of 9: Each mirror can be turned to tilt one of two ways. When you tilt one mirror, other mirrors appear and disappear, so experiment.
of 9: Any combination of mirrors that gets the light to the end is the right one, but here's what worked for me.
