How can I get hints inside the game?
Amateur players can get hints via the checklist for some tasks. If you're stuck on a task, click on the question mark to the right of the task to get a preliminary hint. After about 30 seconds, click again to get the next hint, and so on. Not all tasks have hints, just the ones they thought you'd need help with. The in-game hints will eventually take you to the full answer, though in my professional opinion (*cough*) they're not well written; you get several really vague unhelpful hints, and then suddenly there's the answer. But perhaps I'm biased.
If you're more generally stuck, like not really knowing where to go next, try calling Frank and Joe Hardy on your cell. They won't give you any direct hints and only a few general ones, but the comments Nancy makes will sometimes show you what she thinks are important and get you moving in the right direction.
