of 13: Now that you know why you want to use the small coil, go take a closer look at it. Clicking on the screen shows you a piano keyboard and two music staves.
of 13: What you're going to do here is play the notes you got from Niko's translated notebook (from the bookcase in the lounge) on this keyboard. Read to the end of this hint for a screenshot showing how to do this.
of 13: If you can read music, the only thing you need to know is that the capital letters are the notes below middle C and the small letters are middle C and above. Play the notes on the piano keys, and they appear on the music staff.
of 13: If you can't read music, you can still do this without my help if you want. The whiteboard in Mason's cubicle includes a diagram of a piano keyboard showing where all the notes are; take a picture of it with Nancy's camera for reference. (Don't worry about the sharps (the black keys); you won't need them, and you can't use them in any case.)
of 13: The first note is A. Find the capital A on Mason's diagram -- it's in about the middle -- then find it on the coil piano keyboard and click on it. You hear the note, and it also appears on the staff below.
of 13: Next is capital G, which is just below a; the next is B, which is just above it. So far so good.
of 13: The next one is e -- notice, that's a small e. That means it's on the upper half of the keyboard, not the low E but the high e. See?
of 13: If you enter an incorrect note, click on the "Erase Last" button. If the whole thing is a mess and you want to start over, click on "Erase All."
of 13: When you think you have them all down correctly, click on the "Play" button to hear Niko's song. If you entered all the notes correctly, a little panel will pop open; if nothing happens, well, back to the drawing board.
of 13: Nothing? Okay, here's what it should look like, only I've labeled all the keys for you:
