Nancy Drew 28: Ghost of Thornton Hall Hints
Is this game scary?
1 of 4: Yes. Yes, it is.
2 of 4: Oh, well, let me qualify that a bit. There aren't any bloody monsters or demons or even any serious peril any more than any other Nancy Drew game. But things jump out at you, there are lots of unexplained creepy things, you have to open coffins with actual skeletons in them, and on my computer the graphics were really dark and I couldn't lighten them. And the characters all make vaguely threatening remarks until you want to belt them for not just TELLING you what they mean.
3 of 4: That said, when you get to the end of the game, you'll be given a natural explanation for all the ghostly activity (well, most of it, anyway), so it all has a logical explanation. So that's all very well --
4 of 4: -- but it really doesn't make it any less unpleasant to come around a corner and have something jump out at you. Boo!
