Where is Ethel's Grave, and why do I care?

  • 1 of 7: I'll let you in a little secret: it's going to be quite a long time before you actually come across the puzzle this goes to. Fooey.
  • 2 of 7: You'll know it when you see it; it looks just like the drawing in the corner of the second page of the puzzle -- that odd thing with two rectangles and two circular arrows.
  • 3 of 7: In the meantime, you might as well go to the cemetery and look for Ethel's grave. And what do you know --
  • 4 of 7: -- there are no graves that say "Ethel" on them. There is one with the first name marked out, however.
  • 5 of 7: The important thing here is to note the date: for amateurs it's January 1, 1933, and for masters it's March 14, 1933.
  • 6 of 7: You'll need that date to open a box in one of the hidden areas --
  • 7 of 7: -- the one that's in the cellar behind the rack of bottles.
