How do I solve the Jabberwocky cipher?
1 of 6: This is a substitution cipher -- that is, each letter in the message has been substituted for another letter. It's up to you to figure out which letters go where. Read to the end of this hint for the answer.
2 of 6: The first trick in these sorts of puzzles is to look for obvious letters. For example, the fourth line ends in an apostrophe with a letter after it. That letter is almost certainly an S, so highlight that letter and type in an S.
3 of 6: The trick of looking for the most common letters (in American English, the most common letter is E) isn't as useful here because the message is so short. Instead, think of a word you expect the message to contain.
4 of 6: How about "scientist"?
5 of 6: Since you already have the S, the location of that word will pretty much give you the key to the entire puzzle.
