How do I get the sluice working?
1 of 6: The sluice is that wooden trough forming a channel from the mine shafts down to the creek. Click on the faucet arrangement at the right, and then on the yellow-rimmed structure at its right, to see why it's not working. Ah, fans!
2 of 6: What you're trying to do here is replace the fans, which are in rows of three, so that all of them fit and form 9 perfect fans. Read to the end of this hint for a picture showing one way to do this.
3 of 6: You'll eventually have two complete layers of fan pieces, though they'll still only form nine complete fans. The fan pieces rotate with a right click, so each piece can fit anywhere in the box.
4 of 6: The best way to start on this is to locate the two fans with only one blade (in the white and pink pieces). They have to coordinate with the two fans that have three blades (in the green and medium yellow pieces).
5 of 6: Now try what works. Put the white piece in the box and see where it needs to be so either the green or yellow piece will complete that fan. See?
