Nancy Drew 30: The Shattered Medallion Hints
How do I solve Sonny's puzzle?
1 of 5: As George told you, the top corners should be green, and the bottom corners should be blue. Click on the squares to change their colors; clicking cycles through red, yellow, green, blue, black, and back to red.
2 of 5: And as Nancy says, the goal is to fill in all the colors so that no square touches any other squares the same color. Easy peasy, right? Read to the end of this hint for a graphic showing the solution.
3 of 5: This is the kind of puzzle where you have to either plan ahead, intensely, or just go by trial and error -- choose a color, see how far you get, and be willing to go back and change it all until you find something that works.
4 of 5: I'll give you another hint: the square in the center is red. You might be surprised just how little that really helps, though.
5 of 5: Annoying? Well, yes, it can be. Here's the solution, in case you're fed up.
