Nancy Drew 30: The Shattered Medallion Hints
How do I get in to see George?
of 8: George is in a tent in the producer area, and the entrance to it is in the Base Camp area, to the right of the scoreboard. That's the area Sonny Joon called the producer area. He made a point of saying emphatically that it's off limits, but you're not going to let a little thing like that deter you, are you?
of 8: Try to walk into this area, and Nancy says she can't go in while the security cameras are active. See that little box on the right side of the entrance? That's the control box for the cameras -- and what do you know, the key George gave you fits that box. Isn't that amazing?
of 8: What you're doing in this next bit is putting up blocks to turn off the cameras, and you'll have to do it for three different arrays of cameras. Click on the screen at the left to place a block, and it will turn the blocked cameras black. Read to the end of this hint for pictures showing one way to do this.
of 8: You only have a limited number of blocks -- in the first screen, only two -- so you need to place them to block the maximum number of cameras.
of 8: All of the cameras need to be blocked, so one strategy is to pick one of the corner cameras, then try every possible block for it to find one that blocks as many other cameras as possible.
of 8: I didn't find this puzzle too hard, but maybe that's me. If it's driving you bonkers, here's how I did it -- but remember, any way that blocks all the cameras is good enough.
of 8: After this, you can just waltz in here any time you want. You'll want to do this often because George has great information. If she's awake, talk to her; if she's not, read the information on her tablet on the table to her left.
of 8: Oh, and do check out the TV to the right, where you can listen to everyone's confession booth tapes. Some are interesting, some are just amusing, but they're all worth checking out.
