Nancy Drew 32: Sea of Darkness Hints

Why are the amounts written so oddly?

  • This is the European way to write large numbers. In America, we use a comma to separate thousands from hundreds and a period to indicate decimals ($12,450.95). In some areas of Europe, they do it the other way around (12.450,95). So when the puffin's price tag says it costs 2.700 kr, it means it's 2,700 kronur (which is about $20 in US dollars).
