Nancy Drew 32: Sea of Darkness Hints
Help! How do I get out of the bilge?
of 9: After Dagny disappears and you look at the stuff on her cell phone --
of 9: -- the next time you come down into the hold, you'll find the bilge hatch open. When Nancy goes over to investigate, whoopsie!
of 9: Never mind who did that; we need to get out fast before Nancy drowns. Zoom in on the dials in front of you to reset the bilge pump and stop the water from rising. Read to the end of this hint for the right settings.
of 9: Scratched into the wall at the lower right, there are three numbers arranged just like numbers on the dial at the bottom center of your screen. You need to make those numbers appear on that dial.
of 9: The numbers on the dial are determined by the five knobs with the dots above the dial.

of 9: So for example, in the Amateur puzzle, the upper left number on the dial is 26, and the upper left area of the first knob has 5 dots. If you give that first knob one turn, it now has one dot in the upper left area, and the upper left number on the dial has gone down to 22 (26-5+1=22).
of 9: That all sounds very logical and engineer-y, but frankly I usually just flop about until something works. That's not a great strategy here, since this is a time-limited game; you have three minutes before Nancy shuffles off this mortal coil.
of 9: Here's the way the knobs need to look to make the bilge pump work again:
