How do I follow up on Dave's information?

2 of 8: He showed you the other half of the "green bottle under" clue.
3 of 8: He also showed you that the green bottle isn't under the stairs in the cellar, because he was looking there when you walked in.
4 of 8: So what stairs could the clue be talking about?
5 of 8: If you go out the way you came in, Nancy will say something helpful.
6 of 8: Leave the cellar by the tunnel. Go two steps in and turn around so you're facing the steps and the door to the cellar.
7 of 8: Did you notice that whereas the lower steps are simple planks, the top step is solid like a box?
